Tigers First XI captain Terry Hill has claimed the prestigious Boak Family Trophy as the club’s champion men’s player of 2021-22.

Hill’s leadership and on-field performances were instrumental in taking his team to the minor premiership and a semi-final finish.

Inclusive of finals, the left-arm spinner captured 28 wickets at an average of 10.96, including two hauls of five wickets. Most memorably, his 5-16 against Marshall in round six featured a hat-trick – the first of his career.

Hill also won the men’s First XI bowling average and aggregate awards, while opener Tommy Henderson took out the batting average and aggregate awards with 344 runs at an average of 34.4.

Jo Warnes and Tia McGrath were crowned as the leading players in the club’s premiership-winning women’s XI – Warnes taking out both batting awards with 179 runs at 29.83, while McGrath topped the bowling with 10 wickets at 10.8.

In the other major award of the night, outgoing president Rob Dunne was recognised by the committee for his passionate and dedicated service to the Tigers, named the Barry Sexton Best Club Person.
